RESPONSIBILITIES |
EVENT responsibilities · Lead the advance process for assigned festival artists and production vendors, ensuring their needs are successfully met to ensure world class event execution · In conjunction with Senior Production Manager, identify, engage and hire within budget, for multiple disciplines which could include Stage Managers, Hospitality, Technicians, Security and Day Labor for our events. · Collaborate with Event Teams and Partners to find creative solutions to deliver the overall vision of each event. Participate in brainstorms and proactively recommend production elements to further enhance the events
DEPARTMENT responsibilities · In conjunction with the Senior Production Manager, negotiate and secure third-party Production vendors including sound, lights, staging, backline, event safety, crowd control barriers, and special effects · In conjunction with Senior Production Manager, recommend, develop and implement process and procedure improvements to support scalability of growth of the company with focus on increased efficiency, accuracy, and cost effectiveness as well as enhancing guest and artist experience. · In conjunction with Senior Production Manager, work with NCL Technical to confirm timely approvals for temporary and permanent charter installs · Attend ship site visits with Partner production teams and NCL Technical during the event development phase · Attend relevant industry events or festivals to monitor best practices and make appropriate recommendations to keep Sixthman on the leading edge · Oversee the process to collect all new Production crew and vendor information including W-9 and ACH payment system · Oversee warehouse inventory of production supplies and ordering within budget · Attend weekly Operations & Production team meetings. · Additional projects and duties as assigned
SAILING responsibilities · Lead several of the Company’s music festivals annually as the onsite event Production Manager, leading all onboard production staff (including but not limited to Sound & Light technicians, loaders, stage managers, security, medical, hospitality, local labor, etc.) in the successful implementation of each event · Prepare and navigate US and International Customs requirements for events where you will be onsite Production Manager and work with Sr. Production Manager to ensure all vendor and artist manifests are current in order to present to US Customs & Border Protection for review · Liaise with onboard Clearance Officer to ensure gear manifests are processed correctly and in a timely manner · Liaise closely with the Event Teams during events you lead, adjusting show logistics and schedule as needed (due to weather or other contingencies) · Serve as primary contact with Navigation Bridge team to ensure sea and weather conditions are shared regularly, and escalated effectively when necessary · Serve as primary contact to Artist’s Tour Managers for events where you will be onsite Production Manager · Ensure there is clear communication during loading/ offloading, with all entities including Port Agent, Stevedore gang, crane operator etc. aiming for the most effective and timely execution · Lead the process to gather Early Boarding List (EBL) information from all business owners to ensure complete and accurate information is submitted · Oversee the organization of all trucks and vehicles that will be used for each event, ensuring compliant documentation and licensing has been validated · Coordinate with SXM Logistics Manager to create manifest for SXM owned gear that will be used during events. · Oversee the packing and loading of all operational supplies for all events at the Sixthman warehouse · Oversee the management of the event float money

QUALIFICATIONS |
· Bachelor’s degree required (or equivalent experience) · 6+ years of relevant experience · Experience with multiple-stage music festivals required · Contract negotiation experience required · Customs or manifesting experience preferred · Must have strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills · Ability to manage one’s own time and the time of others · Excellent organization skills and ability to multitask · Ability to work calmly under pressure and adapt to changes or challenges · Strong analytical skills and creative problem-solving abilities · Detail-oriented with high accuracy · Computer proficiency (Email, Word, and strong Excel skills)
